• The self-life of vodka depends on the ingredients in it. If your vodka is flavored, the flavor ingredients will start going bad sooner than the alcohol and should be consumed around 3 months after opening. Unflavored vodka has a long shelf-life of 10 to 20 years after opening. This is because liquids with 25% alcohol or more are not a hospitable environment for bacteria and mold. Our vodka is unflavored and has 40% alcohol content, perfect for mixing drinks for many years.

  • Our vodka is made from 100% homegrown corn.

  • Vodka is only as good as it is grown and made. We pride ourselves on making our vodka from local corn and produced in our Burnsville, MN distillery. It makes all the difference! Check out awards and reviews from our customers to see how locally made products make a difference.

  • While some seltzers are gluten free, not all are. Be sure to check the labels on the seltzers you buy if you need gluten free drinks. Our seltzers are not gluten free because of the flavors that make them tasty, but they are zero sugar, zero carbs, zero sulfites, 5% alcohol and only 95 calories.

  • Unlike vodka, beer can expire, but not in the same way as other beverages, like juice and pop. While there is an expiration date listed, it is uncommon to get sick from beer. Just because it can’t make you sick doesn’t mean that it won’t be bad after its expiration date. Unopened beer can last from 6 to 12 months, while an opened one only lasts a couple of days before losing flavor, smelling weird, or changing color.

  • Yes, beer can freeze! While a couple of minutes in the freezer is a good way to quickly cool your beer, it is not recommended to store beer in the freezer. Higher alcohol content drinks, like vodka at 40%, freeze at around -17 degrees Fahrenheit. Duck Duck Beer, at 4.5% alcohol, starts to freeze around 28 degrees Fahrenheit. Keeping a can of beer in the freezer will make it expand and may cause the can to burst open.

  • Most beers, including Duck Duck Beer, are not gluten free. This is because beers are usually made from barley or wheat, both of which are naturally high in gluten. However, there are some beers that are made with different ingredients to produce low-gluten or gluten-free beers.
